Beyond Cheese was started in 2011 when I decided that there were too many great restaurants in San Francisco (and beyond) that I wanted to remember. The blog started as a personal site for me to remember what restaurants and which dishes I liked best. I then started sharing my posts with my family (who wanted to know what the heck I was up to thousands of miles away), and then it caught on with my friends. The rest is still a work in progress.

The name Beyond Cheese is predicated on the fact that this Wisconsin girl is finally eating things besides cheddar cheese, fried cheese curds, beer and cheese dip, and of course cheddar brats. If you don’t know what any of the aforementioned are, then you’re definitely not from Wisconsin.
